Are there more
depressed people than there were in the olden days? Or are we just more aware?
Are we more aware
of depression because of education? Or
because it has a negative stigma attached to it?
Are women more
likely to develop depression than men? Or
are men not willing to admit that they might just have it?
Are we
continuously looking at our phones just to keep up with what’s going on? Or are we preparing to size ourselves
up against people on our feed?
Are we telling
ourselves that we need to look like these people in media platforms? Or are feeding unrealistic expectations
to ourselves?
Are we not happy
with the life we’re leading and realizing we have little time left to change
it? Or are we giving an excuse to
have a mid-life crisis?
Are money and
success making us happy? Or are we
just feeding into society’s thought of what is supposed to make you happy?
Are men suffering
with depression taking their lives easier than women? Or are women just not as violent and certain on committing suicide?
Just because you can’t physically see depression on someone,
doesn’t mean it should go unnoticed.
Depression can come about in many different ways, and can
vary from mild to severe cases.
Some people suffer from depression throughout their entire
lives, and some can grow out of little bouts of depression.
We shouldn’t feel uncomfortable just because we don’t fully
comprehend.
We should feel uncomfortable at least attempting to
understand.
