While watching Mr Linzy's work, I wasn't instantly reminded of the Love & HipHop series. While the latter isn't exactly scripted, the dilemmas presented there have a striking comparison to Linzy's series. There are an array of characters (several of whom are played by Kalup himself) that are all voiced by Kalup. It makes 100% sense that the only voice we hear is Linzy's because this is his story. Though these videos were made in the early 2010s, better technology was sure available for him to use. It works so that we are hooked into the drama, much like in a soap opera. If Linzy had shot this as if he this were being filmed on HBO it would have taken away from the fun he was having with his art.
